While we are trying to finish last minute shopping today for Christmas (yes, we are that family who waits way too long!), I wanted to give everyone an update on our family.
I mentioned before that my sister-in-law had a seizure Sunday before Thanksgiving which led to a CT and MRI that showed a brain tumor. After a long month of doctors, tests, medication and sleepless nights, she has been able to get it removed. The doctor (a very good doctor at UCLA) removed 90% of it and after pathology tests it has been decided that it was a stage 2 brain tumor. They will now watch it carefully and she will not be put on radiation or chemotherapy.
I appreciate knowing that you all have been praying for her and our family. We have all been overwhelmed by the love and support during this time.
I just ask that you continue to pray. I am praying that God heals her completely and the tumor never returns.
At this time of year, as we are getting so close to Christmas, I am reminded yet again of what is truly important in life – Jesus and family. All the other stuff that clogs up daily life doesn’t really matter.
