Peach Dump Cake Recipe

peach dump cake recipe

Thanksgiving is coming up. Isn’t it amazing how fast time goes by? 2012 will be over before you know it. When I think of Thanksgiving meals I automatically think of heavenly desserts. {You can tell that I have a big sweet tooth, can’t you?} Every family dinner, including Thanksgiving dinner, my mom makes a few different dump cakes. It is her thing. Plus, everyone in the family loves them. Who wouldn’t? They are delicious. You cannot mess it up. In fact the peach dump cake is so easy, my daughter made it with me and she is only four.

To make peach dump cake you need only four simple ingredients:

  • Cake Mix
  • Large Can of Peaches
  • 1 Stick of Country Crock
  • Cornstarch

Pour the peaches in your baking dish. I cut my peaches in half to make them bite sized. (We used a butter knife to cut, so my Princess could help.) Sprinkle in some cornstarch so the liquid is not too runny.

Mix your cake mix with 1 stick of Country crock melted.

Once combined sprinkle the mixture over your peaches.

Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve it alone, with whipped topping, or with vanilla ice cream.

So simple and yummy! We brought this finished peach dump cake to church potluck and everyone ate it up! It was a hit.

My Princess cannot wait to make this with her Nana for Thanksgiving now. She is becoming quite the little cook!

Do you have a favorite Thanksgiving dessert that your family eats each year? I’d love to hear about it.

Wow – that looks very easy and yummy. We’re doing a low maintenance Thanksgiving this year and I think that could make a great dessert!

I really love how simple the ingredients are. I’ve never made a dump cake before, but I see them going around pinterest right now.

I love how simple it looks! I’ll be going to tons of parties in the next month or two, I might just pull this out as my covered dish.
