This last month our family had a large celebration. My grandfather turned 80. We rented a large banquet room in a new hotel, had it decorated, and catered and shared our favorite memories. We had some Native American songs performed live as well as a few Hawaiian songs. My sister and I prepared an 18 minute slideshow to share with guests and it was a high day.

This was not a surprise party. We wanted my Grandfather’s input in this party. He choose who he wanted to invite as well as the colors. He chose Red, White and Blue for colors.

The above candy are the ones I purchased on Amazon.com, I also found the penny candy jars and tongs to use for the buffet table too. I typed up a bit of information on the candy (all nostalgic from 1930s): Nostalgic Candy. Feel free to print and adhere to buffet labels.
