I participated in an Influencer Program on behalf of Mom Central for Nutri-Grain. I received product samples and promotional item to thank me for participating.
Now that I am homeschooling my Kindergartner, my mornings have become a bit more rushed than I’d like. To be honest, I don’t have time for a large breakfast. I have not ever been a big breakfast as a meal fan but the last few years I have realized the importance of eating something healthy in the morning {even if it is small}.
Here is how our Kindergarten Homeschool Routine looks:
- Lesson Planning – I like to get everything ready and in order and my Princess loves having a bit of time to watch morning cartoons with her brother.
- Breakfast for my Princess
- Bible
- Phonics
- Reading
- Poetry
- Routines – which includes Personal Information, Calendar, Weather,
- Math
- Science (2x per week)
- Art (1x per week)
- Shower and Dressed for the day
This is our morning routine every weekday. So my own breakfast meal has become the least of my worries, unfortunately. When I am feeling rushed because of homeschooling Kindergarten, I am thankful that Nutri-Grain® makes a wholesome cereal bar. Best yet? They are so tasty and easy to grab and go.
Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest Cereal Bars
The healthy, on-the-go Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are made with a hearty combination of protein, real fruit and whole grains to help busy adults thrive, not just survive the whole morning.
- Each bar contains 4 grams of protein and a hearty combination of real fruit and whole grains.
- Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are available in Country Strawberry and Blueberry Bliss
Available at most retailers nationwide; Nutri-Grain® Fruit & Oat Harvest cereal bars are sold in boxes of five for a suggested retail price of $3.59. {My favorite flavor is Country Strawberry but Blueberry Bliss taste fabulous too!}

Those bars look yummy, I will have to try them. My youngest son loves the regular nurtigrain bars and will eat them for breakfast or snack time.

They are tasty. I really do like them. And yes, my kids like their soft bars. These ones are a bit more crunchy and I like the flavor better.

that was about our homeschool routine, all the way through high school as well!

You homeschooled through high school? I need to pick your brain! 🙂
Karan says
You do all that in the morning?! What’s your time frame!
LaVonne says
Karan, each class is only about 20 minutes on average, one on one, just me and my daughter. It takes about an hour and half to two hours. Not bad at all. Kindergarten is easier than older grades I am sure. I’ll see if 1st grade changes. We are using A Beka this year. I like it because it is all spelled out for me. Everything is in one kit. And it is a bit more advanced than other kits I saw online.
