Life is busy. I have a couple more days before I start 1st grade homeschool, my daughter started soccer this week, and I just signed up for a homeschool co-op. We will be having Friday school with a lot of other homeschool families in our county. We honestly can’t wait. I don’t mind being busy. But what happens is life starts flying by {and before you know it you have a daughter in 1st grade!}. If anyone needs to add sparkle to their daily life. It’s me.

I forget about myself quite frequently. I put myself last pretty often and before I know it, it has been a couple months since I’ve had a girl’s night out, or more than six months since I had a massage. Today, I wanted to talk about three small ways I make my life sparkle. Little things that I do on a daily basis to just help pay attention to me.
Three ways I like to add sparkle to my day:
- Journaling
- Green Smoothies
- Tinted SPF Moisturizer
Journaling
I love going through a great Christian book, along side the Bible, and just journaling favorite passages, quotes, and verses. Using colorful pens and getting creative with my handwriting makes me happy. It recharges my soul. I am spiritually fed. After 15-20 minutes each morning I just feel better. Sparkly.
Green Smoothies
I drink at least one green smoothie a day. I am hooked. I love them. 90% of the time my green smoothie is my breakfast. After getting spiritual fed with journaling, I feed my body with healthy fruits, greens, and soy protein powder. {I need to share with you a few of my favorite recipes in another blog post!} Throughout the day I drink water and this last month I have been also drinking sparkling water. I quit buying cases of diet soda about a month ago, and I’m not looking back.
Tinted SPF Moisturizer
I might not have time to style my hair or put full on makeup on each day, but I always wear a tinted SPF moisturizer. I know it is vain of me, but just a tad bit of makeup makes me feel more beautiful. You get what I am saying, ladies? I just love makeup and a good tinted moisturizer makes me feel sparkly.

These are just three small things that I do that help me sparkle a little more each day. I feel like I can face the day a little bit easier when all three are done.
Homeschool? –> no problem
Soccer Practice? –> bring it on
Ornery Toddler? –> what’s new
I can do it!

We are really loving sparkling water. And thanks for the well wishes for our next school year. We’ll start on Tuesday as well. 1st grade!

I love sparkling water – it’s so silly, but sparkling water tastes better to me than regular water. When I have sparkling water around, I drink way more water! Which reminds me, I need to get up and refill my water glass! 😉

I am not a big water fan, Beeb. So sparkling water with that lovely carbonation? Yes, please! I love it. Plus, I feel so much better about drinking it in large quantities as opposed to diet soda.

That is a good point Val. I often do the same thing. If I don’t forget, I just put myself last on purpose.

I started the first week of July and I haven’t looked back. I am loving them. Usually it is just one per day but sometime two as a meal replacement.
