Soul Touching Music: Hillsong United Empires

I hadn’t been a fan of Hillsong United until I heard Oceans. In fact, I don’t know if I really knew anything about this Christian band before that song. But, once I heard Oceans on our local Christian radio station, I knew I needed to hear more from this band. This month, United is back with a new album: Empires. And yes, I absolutely love it.

This is the kind of music I like to listen to. The debut single, Touch the Sky, is the reason I love United. I know many older fans of this band like their praise and worship style songs, but I love these slower, more acoustic songs with soul touching lyrics. Great melodies, amazing lyrics — Empires is simply beautiful. It is an album that I’ll take with me on summer travel and I’ll be blessed indeed!
