Seattle is a great place for family fun! Regardless of age, it’s easy to find appropriate activities for the whole gang. These are a few Seattle Washington activities to consider.
Seattle Center
There’s always something going on at Seattle Center, which is why it’s one of the area’s to tourist destinations! It’s free to play at the Artists at Play playground, which is home to a 30-foot climbing tower. Wander around the gardens and when weather permits play in the water from the International Fountain. Here’s an interesting fact: this sprawling complex was the site of the 1962 World’s Fair.
Kelsey Creek Farm
Kelsey Creek Farm is open 365 days a year from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Your kids will love interacting with the animals and playing on the playground. The farm is a great place for a picnic. A picnic shelter is open from dawn to dusk. No reservation required and visiting the farm is free.
Fremont Sunday Market
The Fremont Sunday Market opened to the public in 1990. You and the kids will have tons of fun shopping until you drop! Accommodating up to 200 vendors, this huge flea market is open rain or shine. Put on your “haggling shoes” and get ready to bargain with the best of them.

The Center for Wooden Boats
If you happen to have little boat lovers in the family, why not attend the free events brought to you by The Center of Wooden Boats? There’s Tugboat Storytime that takes place on a real tugboat. In addition, your kids might like to participate in a no-cost toy boat building class, held on the first Tuesday of every month from 3 to 5 p.m.
