We are not to blame for the recent flooding of the basement!
God answered our prayers. We specifically prayed that when they put the snake into the septic tank that nothing would come up that would show we were at fault. {I mean if we were at fault we would gladly own up to it as a mistake. But we really didn’t believe we could be at fault.}
The only thing to come up was blond hair. We are not blond.
So, with the help of a camera they found a blocakge further down. The pipe was not installed correctly and dipped down about four inches creating a pool for sediment. Over time it kept building up. We just happened to be here when it overflowed.
We felt terrible. The carpet and tile will have to be replaced and some of the walls fixed. It is a big job. Our prayer is that nothing else happens while we are here!
The crazy thing is, we were more upset than the son or brother of the owners. They didn’t seem to think it was a big deal.
God is good though. He really does answer prayers. And that makes it all okay.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6-7).
