ARGH!
I woke up last night to the smell of poop.
Not a fun smell at 1 am in the morning.
I investigated and found that water was coming up out of the floor drain in the laundry room. Just bubbling up like a brook. It had been doing it for some time since the carpet and nearby bathroom were soaked.
I ran into the bedroom to wake my husband, who automatically jumped and thought an intruder was here. He yelled, “Hey!” I almost laughed but quickly explained the situation.
You know, we are staying in someone else’s home, right? We had to call the homeowner’s son. He came over and for a couple hours they investigated and found the septic was backed up.
Great, just what we want to happen!
Currently without water, and hoping the repairs can be done cheaply and quickly, we are filled with dread.
Oh, Lord, please help my Princess not to have flushed anything in the toilet.
