After their father’s passing, Ellen Barlow (Julie Mond, “General Hospital”) and her sister Cassie (Abigail Mavity, “Summerland”) struggle to maintain the family farm in Anderson’s Corner. When Clark Davis (Wes Brown, “True Blood”) finds trouble in town on his way to California, Ellen agrees to hire him at the farm to work off his debts. Before long, Clark and Ellen unexpectedly develop feelings for each other. Ultimately, a turn of events inspires the pair to begin a legacy of love and faith together in this heartwarming family drama.
When I was in 6th grade I read the Love Comes Softly series in my small private Christian school. I loved those books! Now as an adult, I own most of the Love Comes Softly movies and I have loved every one. I really enjoyed this one and even watched it with my daughter during her nap time. It is family friendly and wholesome. It is nice to see how Clark Davis comes into the stories and the see the love develop between the characters of Clark and Ellen.
I highly recommend this film. It is one that you want in your film collection. I love films that have great stories, set in historic times, and intertwine love and faith in them. This is movie that I will watch again and again.
