We visited the Audubon Zoo this last weekend in New Orleans. What fun! The Audubon Zoo is a pretty large zoo with lots of exciting animals to see. We walked for just a little over 4 hours and didn’t even see all the exhibits and animals.
The price was right too. For $35 per person we were able to get tickets not only for the zoo but also the Audubon Aquarium, IMAX, and Audubon Insectarium.
We loved the swamp exhibit with the alligators; and the primates are always a favorite. The orangutan begged us for food, which made us laugh. At one point my Princess ate an orange, which caused the bears to come out and sniff as closely to us as possible.
The big highlight for my Princess, besides riding the carousel and train was the dinosaur exhibit – Audubon’s Dinosaur Adventure. With many replicas of dinosaurs that move, roar, and even spray “poison” out of their mouth (mist), my Princess did not want to leave.
I kept hearing a plethora of 4 year old questions – all day.
“Do Monkeys Bite?”
“Are The Outside Dinosaurs Real?”
“Are those dinosaurs robots?”
“Is that a pretend fish?”
“Why can’t I ride on that animal?”
“Can I pet him?”
My response?
” Ask, daddy. He knows everything.”
