We have not yet vaccinated our children. I don’t want to get into a debate on why we should on here. But I do want to say, we are thinking of getting a few vaccinations for our daughter now that she is 4 and playing with a larger number of children as we travel the country. We are not against vaccinations exactly, we just are not certain if some of them are necessary nor do we trust some of the ingredients contained in the vaccines. This is why I choose to review and giveaway The Greater Good movie.
About The Greater Good Movie
THE GREATER GOOD is a character-driven documentary that explores the cultural intersections where parenting meets modern medicine and individual rights collide with politics. The film offers parents, doctors and policy makers a safe space to speak openly, actively listen and learn from one another. Mixing verité footage, intimate interviews, 1950s-era government-produced movies and up-to-date TV news reporting, THE GREATER GOOD weaves together the stories of families whose lives have been forever changed by vaccination.

My Review of The Greater Good Movie
I think that this movie does a great job at showing both sides of the vaccination issue. In fact, without too much of a bent either way, the movie seems to me to simply say – “Let’s look at the vaccination schedule, do longer testing on vaccines, take away the profit side (big business) side of vaccinations, let parents decide the best for their kids, and put kids first.”
With testimony from doctors on both sides of the vaccination debate as well as personal stories from parents, I believe that The Greater Good is a timely documentary for me as a parent both also us a nation. I appreciated the emphasis on parents right to choose for their children and I am thankful that in Washington state I do have that right.
I highly recommend watching The Greater Good. The information is vital and eye opening!

good for you for standing up for your convictions! if i’d known with my older children what i know with the littles….none of them would have ever received the first vaccine!

Thank you Jayedee. It is such a difficult thing – on one hand I don’t want my children to get infectious diseases (of course), but I also don’t want severe adverse side effects from vaccines. I would like a vaccine that has been thoroughly tested that I felt I could trust.

While my kids have received most vaccinations, I totally get being thorough and making sure it’s necessary and that the benefit outweighs the risk.

Definitely a great resource for parents! After reading the Vaccine Book by Dr. Sears (and doing some research of my own) we decided on a delayed vaccine schedule. And I’m so happy I did the research beforehand to decide what I did and did not want my children to have. I believe in vaccines, but not unnecessary vaccines.

I would love to see it! It sounds like something I would love and am all about knowledge and education other wise how can you make informed decisions?

The vaccination debate is one I went back and forth on. I have issues with some of the ingredients. However I feel there is benefit to them. It’s so hard to know what to do! But I think every parent has to go with their gut and do what feels right.
