I’m tired. Often. That’s what motherhood feels like on most days. Just plain tired. My day starts early getting two kids out of the house to two different schools. Just getting them dressed, fed, lunch packed, and out the door I think is a miracle. But we seem to do it, and do it well, day after day.
Do you want to know my favorite part of the morning? I won’t lie and give you a sugary sweet answer about my kids and their love for me. It’s that first sip of hot coffee. Best part of the morning. Hands down. I’ve been waiting now until the kids are at school and I can sit and savor it. When hot coffee is paired with a great devotional book, or my journal – well, I am a happy woman.
