This month my little monster, who I love with all my heart, Nate, celebrated his fourth birthday. We had a pool party for him and invited the cousins over for a fun Little Monster Birthday Party at our community pool. Since his big sister, Isabella, had a pool party, he wanted one too.
We planned the pool party for 12 pm – 3 pm, but everyone ended up staying longer. It was a record breaking hot day in Western Washington and the pool was the perfect place to be. I found great Little Monster party supplies at my favorite party planning website: Oriental Trading. My best helper, Isabella, decorated the tables and put together all the favor bags. She is the best!
I had every intention of making cupcakes but then I visited my local bakery and found 24 colorful cupcakes that I knew would be perfect to serve with this primary colored birthday party theme. After Halloween last year I picked up some monster party supplies including a Wilton monster cupcake decorating kit. I added the kit to the tops of the store bought cupcakes and it was perfect!

Kids could grab and eat food at any time during the party. We like to keep our parties laid back.
