My five year old got NERDS in his Halloween bucket this past year and he fell in love. NERDS are what he always asks for when we visit our local dollar store. This past week, when we were looking at Valentine’s Day products there, he saw a bag of small boxes of NERDS for one dollar! He begged me to get them. I decided that it was $2 well spent, but told him we’d make some Valentine’s cards to share with his friends at church or school.

Of course, I went to Pinterest to see if I could just easily print something. I found this pin, and loved the idea. But, when I clicked over to the blog, the printable was no longer there. So I decided to make a variation of this NERDS Valentines.

Don’t you just love how easy it is to whip up a simple printable? I like to keep my colors to a minimum, because ink costs money. I also printed this out as 3×5 size, or four per page. I used double sided tape and attached the small boxes of NERDS. It is the simplest and one of the cheapest Valentines Day Card ideas ever and it’s fun. Just how we like it!
Do you or your kids have a favorite candy? I’d love to hear what it is.
