About Sons of Thunder Redemption
A new spin-off of Pure Flix’s popular show Sons of Thunder, Redemption follows Jacob, a lone biker on the road, on his journey to share his faith, seek forgiveness, and encourage others on a ranch in California while scraping by from job to job and spreading the love of Jesus to those he meets.
I have been able to watch through episode 2 of this series and I am liking it. It’s well done and I recognize the actress Kristy Swanson. In the first episode, Jacob travels to a horse ranch in California to find his long-lost college sweetheart and ask for her forgiveness. In episode two they decide to try to save the ranch.
I like the themes they are hitting in these first two episodes. We learn about pride and being willing to accept help. It’s not easy being humble. I also love second chance stories. It reminds me of how God’s given us so many chances. We all have regrets, and things we wish we can change. God is the God of second chances.
But now, this is what the Lord says — he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze. – Isaiah 43:1-2
