Inspired by a blog about the bravery of mothers, I decided to share my own harrowing experience. (*Rolls eyes*)
We are having a bee problem. Weird bees too. Big, black, buzzing, lethargic bees. They are in all of our window sills, behind the blinds, difficult to reach. They are also having trouble flying. When you see them on the carpet, you can only be disgusted and pray that you will not step on one with a bare foot.
So when my husband was gone this week and we were having this HUGE (7 bees!) infestation, guess who had to protect the Princess? Yep, you guessed right. ME! Now, if you know me at all, you know I have a small phobia – bugs. I. HATE. BUGS.
You know what though? I didn’t think twice. I grabbed a ziploc container and lid, marched over to the window sills and captured 4 bees (separately). I released them out the backdoor (quickly running, shreiking and shutting the door) .
My husband came home that evening and was so proud of me. What else would a mom do though? I don’t want bees in the house with my Princess. (I did leave 3 for him to take care of. I just couldn’t reach them and they weren’t coming out.)
So now you know – I do belong to that elite club – The Super Mommies!
