Can be funny.
A Lesson in Ownership:
Me: “Please stop touching my face.”
Princess: “But I want to touch your face mommy.“
Me: “It is my face, and I am asking you not to.”
Princess: “You’re my mommy, my own mommy.”
Another lesson in Ownership:
Me: “Move over, you are hogging my pillow.“
Princess: “We share.”
Me: “Yes, we do but I need some pillow too. You have to share with me.”
Princess: “We share mommy always.” (Though I smiled at the use of ‘always‘, which I don’t think I heard her say before, I still pushed her over.)
One last lesson in ownership:
(As we wait for the boat to dock)
Princess: “Where’s my boat mommy?”
Me: “That is not your boat, it is your Papa’s boat.“
Princess: “We share.”
I knew that whole month of Bible study on the little boy sharing his lunch with Jesus would pay off. I just didn’t think she’d share so well.
