Traveling for the hubby’s work definitely has its perks. On our days off, early in the seminar, we have the option to check out nearby tourist attractions. We like that.
A few hours drive took us to the Mall of America on Monday.
Do you hate your GPS some days? I know that I do. We really do have a love/hate relationship. I could throw that little Tom Tom out the window some days. By the time we arrived in the Bloomington, MN area I was stressed, hungry and frazzled. Not a good combination.
Lord, please help me! I can’t stand my own self some days. Seriously.
By the time we arrived, I didn’t feel like doing anything but relax. Mall time does not equal relaxation. But this mall is pretty cool.
It really is a BIG mall! I could easily spend a few days there exploring and shopping, or at least window shopping. I am so cheap!
The real reason we drove all that way was not for the mall itself though. We chose to go and stay the night so our Princess could go to
which is located in the heart of the mall. You know how much she loves Diego and Dora.
For $30, children can ride unlimited rides. Our Princess is 38 inches tall, so she can ride on most of the rides offered. A big plus is that daddy can ride with her on them for free.
The Log Chute, was her favorite, but you have to be 47 inches to ride alone. Lucky for her she has a great daddy. She went on it 5 or 6 times (we lost count). I even broke down and bought the $10 4×6 photo of the two of them on that ride. Memories…
My husband had so much fun with her, that he wants to bring her back when she is 6 or 7 to ride the bigger roller coasters. I did go on one ride when he had to make a work related phone call. It was Diego’s Rescue Rider.
When you get older, I swear, even the smallest motion rides make you feel sick.
I am glad that Daddy went on the rest of the rides with her.
After a couple hours she was tired and with no long lines, she really did ride on over 15 rides. I spent about 30 minutes with them taking photos. I had to buy a $10 disposable camera because my Nikon was not cooperating! I have no idea what error message was showing. I left my large owner’s manual at home in Washington. So I have added, Fix the Camera, to my to do list this week. I even forgot a few times to wind the disposable camera. It has been a long time since we used that style of camera! After that, I walked, and walked and walked. My feet still hurt!
You know, I didn’t buy anything but a $5 lady bug costume at Old Navy, size 5T. Don’t you guys love after Halloween clearance. We love dress up time and this is a great time to stock up on costumes.
