At night, the Princess always reminds us that she needs to brush her teeth. She loves brushing her teeth and using her mouthwash. (I pray that she never has a cavity!)
Last night when she remember before us yet again, she said,
“I have something in my head that helps me remember.”
“What do you have in your head?” daddy asked her.
“Jesus is in my head and helps me remember” she replied.
We laughed of course. It was cute and funny. It was not the first time she told us this. She has often told us when she is doing something good or right that Jesus helped her.
So I am reminded that I too need to listen to that still small voice inside my own head. When my patience is tested, or when fatigue is setting in, or I have to clean up that mess one more time, I need to remember to always show Jesus to my family.
Proverbs 19: 11 says, “A man’s wisdom gives him patience; it is to his glory to overlook an offense.”
Colossians 3: 12 says, “Therefore as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.”
