January: I just got a new sewing machine and tried my hardest to make a quilted hot pad. Plus, I was inspired by Valentine’s Day Subway Art and Cards. Our first destination of 2011: British Columbia, Canada.
February: We got on a juicing kick after watching a documentary and have not stopped since. We also had our van broken into and learned to trust God. Our next destination: Northern California. (Have you seen the Redwoods?)
March: My Princess made Gingerbread Bunny Cookies and got her first cavity! Then back to British Columbia where we were flooded and rode our first snow mobile.
April: I wrote about the importance of budgeting your time; I also shared my free e-book: Organic and Frugal (download your copy today!) Oh and I made my first felt craft: a barrette. Do you want to laugh? Read about our Caribou Acorns.
May: My aunt died and we traveled to California for the funeral – My Princess had some good questions about death. Our May seminar was also in British Columbia where we enjoyed the outdoors and local skate park.
June: Home sweet home – where I was able to bust out the sewing machine again and make a business card holder and crayon roll. We also had a family reunion in Southern California where we had FUN!
July: We had a great time hosting family for the 4th and doing the Twilight driving tour and Seattle Center. I had my wisdom teeth removed (check out the ice cream the hubby made me) and our reservation hosted the annual Tribal Canoe Journey!
August: Headed to Baltimore, MD and experienced the earthquake and hurricane! While there we visited Pennsylvania, Coney Island, and Lancaster County Amish. Check out my post on Fresh Bread Ministry. Also, my Princess was in her first wedding as a flower girl.
September: Brought us to Montreal, Quebec. Read about our Homeschool Preschool day, troubles speaking French, and my Princess learned how to swim across the pool!
October: We are pregnant with baby #2! We headed to Oklahoma for our final seminar of the year and I had morning sickness the entire month!
November: Experienced record earthquake in Oklahoma. We heard our baby’s heartbeat. Got bad news that my sister-in-law has a brain tumor which resulted in last minute Thanksgiving plans to travel to Southern California.
December: Home at last – quiet and resting. Please continue to pray for my sister in law – her brain tumor is more serious than earlier diagnosed. My Princess believes in Santa Claus this year and it has been exciting to relive this stage through her eyes!
As we move forward into 2012 I have many resolutions about faith, parenting, home and family. I pray that your year went well and that this new year is even more abundantly blessed!
