Christmas is fast upon us, which means I need to crack down and get my Christmas shopping done. How many of you are done with your Christmas shopping this year? Like me, how many of you have not started? (I have put away a few things for the kids but that is all.) I just signed up for this new website: pick UR gift. I think it is a great site with an awesome gift giving idea.
You see, we pick names in my husband’s family for Christmas gifts. I am never quite sure what to get someone and often just get a gift card. But now that I have access to pick UR gift, I have the ability to get someone an awesome gift!
What is pick UR gift?
pick UR gift is a unique website that allows you as the gift giver more control. By using what they call, the “reverse wishlist”, you can offer many gift choices. The person you are giving the gift to gets to pick the one they want.
You can create gift pages by adding the UR button to your bookmarks bar. This is a bookmarklet. In Chrome, it was simple. After I signed up for an account, I simply dragged the button up to my bookmarks bar. That was it. So easy! Now, when I am looking at websites for gift ideas, I click the UR button and can add great gift ideas to my Gift Page.
For example, I quickly visited Amazon, Zappos, and Macy’s right from the pick UR gift website. I then shopped around at Amazon and picked out five gifts pretty quickly, all in the set price range, for the name I choose for the gift exchange with my in laws. I now have a pretty awesome gift page started for her (see above). I will keep adding to it until I get 10 options for her to choose from. This year, she gets to pick the gift she really wants (but I still had say in the gift)!
No more wasted money. No more returning gifts. No more unwanted gifts this year!
