When we travel around North America for my husband’s job we love visiting all the family friendly attractions nearby. Our family has so much fun checking out local sights. This past month we’ve been in the Denver, Colorado area. We love this area. There are so many fun places to visit, beautiful mountains, blue skies, and lovely parks. My kids loved the Denver Children’s Museum. In fact, less than a week after we visited, my daughter asked to go again. I must admit, we had a lot of fun.
The Children’s Museum of Denver offers the following amazing and fun exhibits:
- 3,2,1 Blastoff
- The Art Studio
- The Assembly Plant
- The Big Backyard
- Bubbles
- The Center for the Young Child
- Click Clack Train Track
- Fire Station No. 1
- Hopscotch
- Kinetics
- My Market
- Ready Vet Go!
- Spotlights
- WillitWorks
Now, tell me the truth, that is a lot of exhibits, isn’t it? We had so much fun. Some of the exhibits, I asked my husband if he might be having more fun than than the kids. Really.
The Children’s Museum of Denver is open 7 days a week. Entrance ticket prices start at $7! For all the fun we had there, $7 really is a steal! The Children’s Museum of Denver is located at:

Yes, at the Assembly plant you can use recycled materials to create art! This exhibit and the Art Studio is where my Princess spent most of her time. She loved it. Do you see her using that child sized saw? That made me nervous, but she did great.
The Art Studio was actually my personal favorite exhibit. I used that leaf stamp (above) and made a fall picture too. After two brightly painted pieces of art, my Princess reluctantly moved on from this exhibit.
While my Princess was painting, my Little Man was next to her coloring on the window with approved window markers. Very fun!
But his all time favorite place, the exhibit where he spent the most time, was the My Market exhibit that included a Pizza Kitchen. We did have fun there.
If you are in the Denver area, and you have young children, you must add the Children’s Museum of Denver to your itinerary. You won’t be disappointed.

Looks like tons of fun. P.S. Cutest little fireman I’ve ever seen. 😉

I enjoy family museums wherever I travel. The more interactive the better! Great review.

Denver is an amazing city! We have friends who live there and when we visited them a few summers ago we decided that we would eventually love to retire to that area. The people are friendly, the scenery is beautiful, and as you mentioned, there’s no shortage of things to do.
LaVonne says
Corinne, my husband keeps saying, “I could live here”. He loves it. I like it quite a bit but the weather is strange. I can be 70 degrees in November and two hours later it will drop to 37 degrees! 🙂
But yes, all the fun things to do makes this place a great vacation destination, in my opinion.

Oh wow! He is just way too cute! He must have really loved the fireman thing. Awww… it’s so great for them to be able to do these things at such a young stage. I know my son gets really influenced.

Please cease and desist from making disparaging remarks about my fair city. OK, so the weather can be a bit crazy but we do have a lot to offer. The Children’s Museum has so many interactive exhibits that you can spend lots of time there.
