One of the hardest things about life on the road is maintaining friendships. I am not good at it. I miss my friends. Girls night out... Real life communication... It gets lost while traveling from city to city. Relationships take time. Investment. Cultivation. We were created for personal relationships by a God who also craves one with us. Do you ever think all this social media has driven us all further apart rather than together? In many ways, social media has been great keeping up … [Read more...]
Living by the Beach: What a Great Life!
We survived a road trip to Northern California. Kind of. We learned that my 5 year old now gets car sick when she is watching a movie in the van. {Car sick to the point of throwing up. Twice. Yuck.} And doing anything for 10 hours straight with a teething baby can become torture. But we survived. We made it! We are living by the beach and loving it. We are now settled nicely in Northern California a five minute walk from the beach. A down hill walk which is easy, the uphill walk takes … [Read more...]

Life in Indiana

I am putting him to bed every night by 8pm and he is such a good little sleeper. {Thank the Lord.} He is in love with his hands and feet. He is always grabbing his feet trying in vain to get them in his mouth. Plus, he can watch his hands for long periods of time. He passes his teething rings from one hand to another over and over. It is so … [Read more...]

Family Travel to Indiana
Let me just say, traveling with 2 kids is a bit more difficult than traveling with one. This is our first seminar with our Little Man. At four months of age, he didn't do too bad. I just forgot how you must constantly keep a baby occupied on an airplane so they are quiet. I got used to my Princess being such a good traveler. So when you travel to Indiana, a mommy just can't watch the movie and ignore the baby... All 3 in my family have a virus too! Yep, we are that family. You know the one: 2 … [Read more...]
