My kids both love Easter. In fact, they've been playing with last year's plastic Easter eggs at their Papa and Nana's house the last couple weeks. They hide them either in the house or out in the backyard. It's pretty cute, and it keeps them busy. I don't want them to think that Easter is all about plastic eggs, candy, and baskets full of silly toys. Each Easter I like to give them items the celebrate the true meaning of Easter -- Jesus Christ and His great love for us. I want them to celebrate … [Read more...]
Dads, do you need a guide for raising daughters?
Parenting is hard stuff. I say it a lot. But that's because it's true. It is the hardest job there is and the most important. Christian St. Patrick’s Day Printable Bag Topper
St. Patrick's Day is less than a week away! Where, oh where, is 2015 going? It is flying by! We don't usually do much for St. Patrick's Day in our home. We do wear green so no one gets pinched and I like to color our breakfast milk green. Other than that, we haven't talked much about St. Patrick's Day or celebrated it in any other way. This year, I was thankful to read a great kids craft idea from A Modern Day Fairy Tale on St. Patrick. He won many people for God in Ireland and he was a man of … [Read more...]

To address this crisis and to acknowledge water’s essential presence on the earth, the United Nations General Assembly declared March 22 as World Water Day in 1993. How You Can Be a Confident Mom
I can honestly say I've never felt super confident in this role of mother. Christian Parenting: Creating a Legacy
I always say that parenting is hard stuff. 'Cause it is. Truly. We all want to raise great kids who'll become good adults. But, as a Christian parent we also want to raise them knowing who God is; having a relationship with Jesus. We compete with so many things this day and age. Our kids are busier than ever and have many things vying for their attention. What's a parent to do? This is why I appreciate this book from Dr. Dobson. I've appreciated Dobson's ministry to families and this book is … [Read more...]
