Last week, I happily received a box of HERSHEY'S Valentine's Day candy (think Twizzlers, ROLO, Reese's PB Hearts, and Kisses...) As you can see above my kiddos were just as happy. Of course, starting a healthy living journey last week made it a little more difficult to do my normal over-splurge on chocolate. I was good though - I think I only had four peanut butter hearts all week. {That is really good for me! Those are my kryptonite!} After getting so many bags of awesome candy, we visited … [Read more...]
Kindergarten Bible Class: Abraham Activities
This last week, we've went over the story of Abraham in our Bible class. Each day, I follow our lesson plan and read a part of the story of Abraham. When the section of the story is over, my Princess doesn't want it to end. She wants me to read the next day's portion. She really loves the story of Abraham and Sarah. We were both pleased this weekend when they had Greatest Heroes and Legends of the Bible on TBN. It was the show entitled Sodom and Gomorrah but much of the story was about … [Read more...]

We are all excited about … [Read more...]

Here are short vowel learning ideas we've found helpful. Best of all they are free! Short Vowel I Spy - look around your house and play I Spy with your child using only words that … [Read more...]
Advice for Parents of Kindergartners
Thank you FHE Insiders for sponsoring today's post. I am homeschooling, so I don't understand what it feels like for parents to send their kids off to school at the age of 5 or 6 for the first time. I can't imagine actually. The thought of sending my daughter to school all day honestly terrifies me. Is that strange? I am that overprotective mother who'd rather shelter her child. We homeschool because of our travleing lifestyle, but even if we weren't traveling I'd still homeschool these … [Read more...]
10 Fun Kids Back to School Crafts
We are into the swing of Kindergarten. We started off great. We are having a good time too. For Art this week, I am going to be doing an easy DIY craft with my Princess. I am leaning towards a pencil holder for her homeschool desk. While searching on Pinterest I found some great back to school crafts that I know we'd have fun making at home. {We both love Pinterest, don't you?} 10 Back to School Crafts Crayon Magnets (shown above) Custom Pencils (shown above) DIY Pencil Vase … [Read more...]
