I recently read that 30 minutes of swimming burns approximately 350 calories! I love swimming laps. That 30 minutes is like heaven. With my head under the water, I can’t hear anything. My Daughter is Kind of Swimming at 2!
We have a pool here at our new apartment. We have gone every night since we arrived. The first night we blew up those little arm floaties, stuck them on the Princess and she jumped in without hesitation. After swimming around a little while, she started jumping in from the side! Scaredy Cat
That is what I was when I was three. A BIG scaredy cat. I was taking swimming lessons at a local pool. They put up a platform so that the shallow end would be even more shallow. As all the children held hands, and followed along with the instructor, singing Ring Around the Rosy, I was scared. At the end of the song when we all were supposed to "fall down", I was the only one who stayed up. Cheap Entertainment and Even A Bit of Exercise
On Monday night we decided to do something we have never done before. I am not sure why we have not done it before. It was always only less than 15 miles away. Grandparents are Important
I don't think that some people realize how lucky they are to have grandparents living nearby. This long holiday weekend we have had the luxury of having my parents here. It has been heaven. They help so much with Isabella, and they love playing with her. We love her so much but it is so nice to have others here to hold her, play with her, pick her up, wash her, change her, feed her, walk with her.... and so much more. And she loves it too.
